A love of travel throughout the entire United States and Mexico, where the author met, worked with, drank with, ate with, raised hell with, and lived with at times during the past half century, has provided enough material for several books of western and Indian stories. If we don't keep writing stories about the days when the west was still wild, and Indians inhabited the beautiful country of Western America, then future generations will think it's always been like it is now...hop in the car and simply go where you want-stop along the way for a burger and fries-take in a movie any ole day of the week-put in your forty hours and go home-whip out the credit card n' get anything you want...now! The Author of this book is Rick Magers. Rick's a licensed airplane pilot, diver, boat captain, lecturer, columnist, adventurer, author, and ex-drug smuggler. (DARK CARIBBEAN) He's been writing for half a century and has traveled the world; visiting many countries in search of stories, including: Nicaragua, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, Jamaica, Bahamas, Germany, France, England, New Zealand, Australia, plus most of the United States and California. He spends summers in his cabin in the North Georgia hills (locals call 'em mountains, but he's been over the Alps & Rockies) and winters in Key West. Rick celebrated his 73rd birthday on 6-30-2008. He hopes Jimmy Buffett flies in aboard his Cocktail Clipper this winter so they can talk about the good times they enjoyed with their friend, treasure diver, Mel Fisher, while he was alive.
