Marty and Petunia Mouse lived in an old oak tree with their two children. Ollie Owl decides he wanted to make his home in the same tree. After Ollie moves in and scares Marty and Petunia half to death, Ollie eventually saves Marty's life soon after Marty learns he inherited a cottage previously owned by a lovely old woman whose husband had just passed away. Charlie Fox and his gang decided they wanted to use the cottage as a hangout. But Marty would have none of that. The cottage was his and he wanted it for himself and his family. But, what was Marty to do? He was certainly no match for the big red fox. Marty needed the help of many of his friends if he was going to be able to keep his cottage. So, he enlists the aid of Ollie Owl, Billie Bear, Bobby Boar, and others. When you read this story you'll learn exactly what happens and what becomes of Marty's cottage and his family. It is truly heart warming and exciting. This story teaches children many lessons. The most important lesson it teaches is that a bully never wins in the end.
